El Hormigón is a rural community located 5 km southwest of the city of Granada off the Granada-Nandaime Highway. Its impoverished population is distributed among 3 rural areas: La Epifanía, La Joya, and El Hormigón. There are approximately 1,400 residents, 33% of which are under 15 years of age.
CWF provides no-cost medical services once a week to all community members. Patients are provided with free medicines as needed. CWF provides financial aid to help pay for referrals to specialist, lab work and imaging. Food baskets and/or nutritious supplements provided to children with nutritional deficiencies. Access to no-cost dental care.
