El Manchón is a rural community located 5 km south of the city of Nandaime off the Panamerican Highway towards Rivas. The population is impoverished and out of approximately 1,754 residents, 30% are under 15 years of age.

Children’s Wellness Fund (CWF) offers a no-cost community health clinic that provides medical consultations, individualized health care assistance and free medicine. The clinic provides all of our primary health care services such as support for necessary lab tests, imaging tests, specialist referrals, eye glasses, provides nutritional food baskets for children with nutritional deficiencies and other specialized medical assistance. Additionally, dental care and psychological care are provided once a month.

CWF sponsors the elementary school, Santa Ana by donating to each student a backpack filled with notebooks, pens and pencils, coloring pencils, ruler and other misc. items. CWF also donates learning materials to ensure the teachers and students have the necessary tools to learn. CWF provides monthly provision of nutritious food to supplement the school’s daily lunch meals.
