Centro JACS
JACS is a community center that promotes educational and health development in the community of El Tepeyac located in the city of Granada. The center is designed to provide a safe and healthy environment for all those it serves. JACS offers specialized programs in the areas of health, education, sports, and recreational activities.
Veterinary Clinic
In 2019 Children’s Wellness Fund initiated a no-cost vet clinic in Centro JACS to benefit the community of El Tepeyac and a second clinic in the community of El Machon. The Veterinary services are offered once a month at each location and is at no cost to pet owners. Our veterinarians provide medical care to domestic pets and farm animals.
Escuela Especial San Vicente de Paul
Escuela Especial San Vicente de Paul is the only public school available for families in the Municipality of Granada who have children with disabilities. The school provides educational guidance services for families and special education classes for the residents of Nandaime, Diriomo, Diriá, Granada, and the surrounding region.
Aguas Agrias
Aguas Agrias is a rural community located south of Mombacho Volcano and 15 km east of the city of Nandaime. The population is highly impoverished and the community is divided into two areas with a total of approximately 900 residents, 35% of whom are under 15 years of age. CWF provides no-cost medical services once a week to all community members.
La Prusia
La Prusia is a rural community located 5 km southwest of the city of Granada. The population is highly impoverished and the community is divided into 2 rural areas with a total of approximately 1,300 residents, 36% of whom are under 15 years of age. CWF provides no-cost medical services once a week to all community members.
El Hormigón
El Hormigón is a rural community located 5 km southwest of the city of Granada off the Granada-Nandaime Highway. Its impoverished population is distributed among 3 rural areas: La Epifanía, La Joya, and El Hormigón. There are approximately 1,400 residents, 33% of which are under 15 years of age.
Granada and Nandaime’s Municipal Landfill
The La Joya Municipal Landfill of Granada is located in the southeastern section of the city, 5 km from the city center. The surrounding population is highly impoverished and is part of the community of El Hormigón. The Nandaime Municipal Landfill, located in the Department of Granada, is in the northeast section of Nandaime and is approximately 2 km from the city center.
El Manchón
El Manchón is a rural community located 5 km south of the city of Nandaime off the Panamerican Highway towards Rivas. The population is impoverished and out of approximately 1,754 residents, 30% are under 15 years of age.
El Tepeyac
San Antonio – El Tepeyac is a rural community located 8 km southeast of the city of Granada. The population is highly impoverished and the community is divided into 7 rural areas with a total of approximately 1,450 residents, 32% of whom are under 15 years of age.
Comprehensive Care for Children with Disabilities
Our organization aims to provide health services for children with disabilities in Granada and its municipalities, including medical care, physical therapy, speech therapy, auxiliary resources, dental work, lab tests, special examinations, prescription eye glasses, and improved nutrition.
External Cases
Our organization provides donations and aid to children referred to us by the Granada’s Department of Health clinics; these services may include providing patients with medicines, specialized medical consultations, imaging tests, lab tests, special examinations and more.
